The Oakwood Parent Teacher Organizations exist to build a community of parents and teachers who work together to support the school district’s vision, mission and core values. Each organization operates independently to foster communication and fund programs to enhance the educational, cultural and social environment for all students and families.
Meetings are typically held in the Smith library on the second Tuesday of every month. Everyone is welcome. Our executive board meets at 5:45pm, often followed by a Teacher Feature program, starting at 6:30pm. Parents are welcome to attend our exec board meetings, teacher feature program, or both!
SAVE THE DATE. We are combining our two big fall fundraisers into one awesome event this year. We would love your help! Contact Rose Lounsbury.
E.D. Smith PTO is an active organization that welcomes parents as partners in the education of their children. There are many activities throughout the year in which parents have the opportunity to become involved. Movie Nights, Cafeteria Help, the Fall Festival, the Book Fair, Up With Art!, Teacher Appreciation, and many other activities are supported by our PTO.
We welcome your involvement and thank you for supporting our students and Edwin D. Smith School.
