Band

Band in Oakwood begins in 5th grade with instrumental learning. Students formally join band in 6th grade and may continue through 12th grade. Jazz Band is offered to junior and senior high students and Pep Band for grades 9-12. Once in high school, emphasis is placed on advanced musicianship, public performance in concert, marching, and solo and ensemble work.
