It is with great pleasure and excitement that we announce the appointment of Lauren Gentry as the new Director of Alumni Relations for the Oakwood School District. Lauren brings a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted connection to our community, making her an exceptional fit for this important role. 

Lauren Gentry, a proud 2001 graduate of Oakwood High School, brings a robust background in communications and community engagement. Her tenure as the Communications Director at the Christ Methodist Church in Dayton, Ohio, where she managed extensive communication strategies, showcases her exceptional skills in fostering meaningful connections. Moreover, Lauren's commitment to community service through involvement in various volunteer initiatives within Ohio, including the Kettering Leadership Academy, Oakwood PTG and local events like Light the Night in Dayton, demonstrates her dedication to serving and enriching our community.

With a deep understanding of the Oakwood School District, its heritage, alumni, students, and the broader community, Lauren is well-equipped to lead the Alumni Association. Her familiarity with our schools, combined with her community connections, positions her to enhance and strengthen our Alumni Association's ties and engagement with all stakeholders.
