Fundraiser for the dakota center

Fundraising has began for the 1981 Reunion Class Gift!

donate now

Update: 11/1/2021

The effort continues, and as November 1, 2021, here is where the counting of donations stands.  Our class donated $6,581.30 and with the $5,000 matching our total so far is $13,581.30.  The Dakota Center applied for $30,000 from a foundation in California and our application was accepted!! The current amount is $43,581.30 (67% of our goal). Finally, my board of directors are watching this very closely with great admiration and fully expect my board to help us cross the finish line.

We still need help getting us closer to the finish line and I am making another ask for donations now that we are so close.  If you have given and can give a little more, great.  If you haven’t given and want to “Get on the bus for the Bus” campaign now is the time. Bless all of you for inspiring us to live into our vision of being a leading and premier institution on Dayton’s inner West-side!!

We have kicked off fundraising for the Dakota Center:

Mission: to awaken the whole human potential of those we serve
Vision: to be a leading institution and collaborator within Inner-West Dayton, while providing premier services and programming for youth and seniors.
Fundraising Goal: We are raising $65,000 to purchase a 21 Passenger plus driver mini-bus that will provide reliable, safe transportation for the Dakota Center's Senior Program.

The Senior program offers its members social activities, nutrition, and health and technology education, opportunities to engage with their community, health checkups and safe balance training. Having access to safe, comfortable and reliable transportation is critical to staying connected to the Center.

Watch the video below to find out why the passenger van is critical for the Dakota Center to achieve its mission.
