Oakwood Schools is proud to announce its recent five-star recognition with the Step Up to Quality Award. Step Up to Quality is a rigorous rating system by the state of Ohio designed to enhance the quality of early care and education programs. This award is a testament to Oakwood's dedication to providing exceptional educational experiences for children and families within the community.

Oakwood's achievement of the Step Up to Quality Award is a result of its comprehensive approach to early childhood education, encompassing various criteria such as learning environment, professional development for staff, and family engagement initiatives. Oakwood preschool, located at Smith Elementary, serves nearly 100 students each school year, with morning and afternoon classes. Registration for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year opens at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 13.
