Oakwood Schools is proud to announce the accomplishments of our students at the 3rd Annual GEM Art Contest for Suicide Prevention, held on February 25, 2024. This event highlights the importance of creativity and mental health awareness, showcasing the talent and empathy of our young artists.

• Evelyn O'Connor & Isabelle Fuqua - Middle School GEM Award, E. D. Smith Elementary, and Oakwood Junior High School, respectively

• Matilda Prizler, Collette Morgan-Meyers, Sasha Guseva, Liliane Keiwitz, Kate Arzola, & Joshua Cahoon - Dazzling Diamond Award, Oakwood High School

The District commends these young artists for their courage and creativity. Their work not only brings attention to a matter of critical concern but also offers hope and solidarity to those affected by mental health challenges.
