Oakwood High School Academic Decathlon team is celebrating a 9th consecutive Regional championship.
At the event in Cleveland Saturday, Feb. 2, the team took home an impressive 83 individual high score medals, including earning all of the gold medals of the competition.
Natalie Bramer achieved the highest individual speech score of the entire competition and performed her speech in the speech showcase. Richard Roediger earned the highest overall individual score of the competition with an incredible score of 9,426 out of a possible 10,000. Bramer and William Vasconcelos also received accolades for earning the highest individual overall scores in their G.P.A. divisions.
The team will compete next at the state competition in March. OHS English teacher Lori Morris is the team's coach.
