Oakwood High School Speech and Debate earned a fifth place team sweeps finish at the Vermilion High School Tournament Dec. 12. Team members competed virtually in the event.
In addition to the team finish, OHS had a solid showing in the Public Forum Debate category. The team of Lily Meehan and Cat Svobodny placed first, with Tess Patton and Julia Neal placing second, and Sebastian Roederer and Nate Pennington placing fifth.
In Dramatic Interpretation, Isabel Alvarez was fifth.
