Oakwood High School Speech and Debate is off to a good start on the season after earning 4th place in Team Sweeps at the 57th Annual Barton Classic Nov. 13.

Individuals earning awards were:

- Sean Michael, 2nd place, Lincoln Douglas Debate

- Ben Moulton and Henry Almoney, 3rd place, Duo Interpretation

- Tristan Williams, 5th place, Lincoln Douglas Debate

- McKenzie Russell, 5th place, Humorous Interpretation

- Lily Meehan and Cat Svobodny, 5th place, Public Forum Debate

- Tess Patton and Julia Neal, 6th place, Public Forum Debate

- Abby Poprocki, 6th place, Lincoln Douglas Debate
