Oakwood Schools was notified Monday, March 15 an OHS staff member tested positive for COVID-19. The individual was last at OHS March 12. To protect the confidentiality of the individuals, we will not be sharing additional information regarding the individuals.
After conducting an investigation with the support of Public Health Dayton & Montgomery County and following CDC guidelines, students and staff determined to have “general exposure,” to the individuals who tested positive have been notified directly. No instances of “close contact” were found.
Once completing the required quarantine period, being fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication, and seeing an improvement in symptoms, the individuals who tested positive will be cleared to return to school.
