Oakwood High School Speech and Debate is off to a great season, taking second place in sweepstakes at the Princeton Barton Classic Nov. 14. Eighteen team participated in the virtual competition.
Lane Bokros placed second in Program Oral Interpretation. In Public Forum Debate, Lily Meehan and Clara Leach also earned a second place finish. Natalie Bridgewaters finished fourth in Dramatic Interpretation. In U.S. Extemporaneous Speaking, James Jarvis placed fifth and in Congressional Debate, Jack Benbow finished fifth in his chamber.
Next week, the team will compete in the Austintown Fitch Tournament.
