Notification Procedures as of 3-13-2022
As the rate of COVID-19 cases continues to dramatically decrease across the state, the Ohio Department of Health is updating its reporting system and requirements for school districts. Oakwood Schools will be following the new guidelines and will implement these changes effective immediately:
- Families and staff will no longer be asked to report positive cases of COVID-19 to the District. Following normal school procedures as outlined in the school handbooks, all absences should continue to be reported daily.
- Oakwood Schools will no longer maintain a COVID-19 dashboard.
- Oakwood Schools will no longer report positive cases of COVID-19 among students and staff to Public Health Dayton & Montgomery County
The Mask to Stay, Test to Play procedures will remain in effect, allowing students and staff who have been exposed to COVID-19 but are not showing any symptoms to continue to attend school and participate in activities while following these guidelines.
